Make History

First off, I know its the end of Black History Month but its also the first little amount of free time i've had all month to do this.

I don't know about you but in my eyes it seems like Black History Month was completely over looked this year. No reminder of it in any for of media came my way and i think its ridiculous. But then i read something online which explains it. People have taken Barrack Obama's election as black history for this month. Yes, his being elected as the first African American President of America is indeed a historical event, but that doesn't mean Black History Month is over. Some people think that since we do have an African American President that we accomplished our goal and therefor don't need Black History Month anymore. That's bull, Black History Month is about not forgetting who brought us here and made a difference for people today. I would be a different story if Black history became equally talked about through out the entire year but thats NOT the case. Not in any of my art history classes do we talk about ANY black people, no lie. Last year we got done reading about renaissance and literally skipped 100 pages all containing art history about Africa and Asia. All i'm saying is don't forget and don't let Black History Month disappear. Its too important. And this goes to EVERYBODY not just black people.

And I'm also reminding you all that you can make history, that's why today i put together a picture of all my black superheroes not just in comics but in real life. Thank you for reading and stay strong.

Dodo Bird

Hey every body. Been extremely busy, but i've scracthed one thing off the todo list. Here i made a prop for my friend's movie project, it involved two guys hitting something with their car and finding out it was a dodo bird. pretty funny, so I got to work and two weeks, voila! click the pic to see the full gallery from start to finish:

Emotional 3-D Ball

In Animation 2 now and we're working with the 3D generator program Maya. This is our first project(we've done other small exercises) where we're supposed to take a ball and make it move and give it emotions. It was a pain in the but but fun to play around with and mess with camera angles.

My Flour Sack Final

Finally, its done, after 3 weeks, 320 drawings, 560 frames i give you 23 seconds of some of the best animation i've done ever! well, some of the only animation i done ever. Hope ya like.



I didn't get the box perfectly how i wanted it to be among other things, there's always room for improvement but i've been getting good reviews so far.

And here's a sneak peek of a new team, they come along even later than S-Class. When the original crew is out in space policing the universe, a new team has to step up and protect earth from its every day foes. The Storm Squad, an idea created entirely by my little brother Essien, and rightfully lead by him. Encompassing the furious powers of mother nature; Fire Storm, Tsunami, Tornado, Earthquake, and Blizzard they fight to protect us. However, one stands alone and opposes them, and with his powers of Thunder and Lightning he will prove to be a formidable adversary. i present to you,

Mountain Dew...

Mountain Dew had a contest this month to create bottle art design and possibly getting it placed on their bottles, prizes could go up to $1000. Of course being the broke college student i am decided to work my butt off along with all the other work i had to do for classes to try and get this done. Only to learn that when i try to submit it today Friday the 31st(which i believe was the original deadline) do i find out that it iwas in fact two days ago on the 29th.

So this is it, what i lost sleep over and waisted hours of my life on for NOTHING. No more of this crap, i'm saying screw it. Every time i try to do a contest lately something screws up or too much work gets in the way. This is my LAST contest submission thingy from now own, i don't wanna deal with this bull anymore because it keeps turning out to be a waste if my freakin time. NO MORE! hope you enjoy this crap.

Because my first comic pages for my character Reaper was rushed for i project, i decided to revisit them and fix them up a bit, that includes spell and grammar checking.

Not Just A Bouncing Ball...

My animation class has been studying the bouncing ball and we've drawn sevral clips of it to learn about animating gravity, motion, and squash and stretch. This is the fourth project where the bouncing ball could be whatever.

(for some reason when i play it, it speeds up really fast but then plays normally after i click it a second time, just so you know)

I have 3 other clips of bouncing balls but i didn't post them because none of them are as exciting as this one. This took me hours to finish but it turned out better than i expected and i LOVE IT!
